Characterization of biodiversity and environmental values of the Menorca cannel, as well as the impact of fisheries on its ecosystems. more

This data was collected as part of a study which main objective was to characterize the biodiversity, to assess the environmental value for of the Channel of Menorca and the impact of the fisheries on the ecosystem. The study will provide the scientific bases to declare the channel of Menorca a marine protected area, as it recently has been proposed by the Ministry of the environment. The objectives were (1) to create a chart of the relevant marine habitats (2) to inventorize their value (3) to estimate the fishery activity and its impact.
