Abstract
The composition and distribution of the amphipod fauna in the area of Evros Delta (North Aegean Sea) have been investigated by means of quantitative sampling. On the basis of similarity in distribution among stations, 3 groups of species have been distinguished. The dependence of the distribution of these 3 groups, as well as of each species separately, on certain environmental factors is discussed.
