Description
Monitoring the behavior and migration of sea turtles released after being held in captivity for rehabilitation reasons as well as green turtles that were part of a captive breeding program.
The goal of this project is conservation and research of the endangered turtle species: Loggerhead sea turtles (Caretta caretta) and Green sea turtles (Chelonia mydas). with the idea to enhance the growth of their population in the Mediterranean sea. Supplemental infomation: Visit STAT's project page for additional information. This dataset is a summarized representation of the telemetry locations aggregated per species per 1-degree cell.
