Data concerning the ecology of epibenthic macro-invertebrates and fishes were collected in the Westerschelde. more
Data were collected on the ecology of epibenthic macro-invertebrate and fish species in the Westerschelde estuary. More specifically, the following was studied:
Data were collected on the ecology of epibenthic macro-invertebrate and fish species in the Westerschelde estuary. More specifically, the following was studied:
- the spatial and temporal distribution patterns of the epibenthos. A number of environmental variables were measured and possible correlations with species densities were checked.
- the stomach content of demersal fish. Correlations between stomach content data and the availability of different mysid species in different seasons and habitats were investigated.
- diurnal, seasonal and spatial patterns in the diet of the brown shrimp Crangon crangon.
